kō kākou ʻāina - our (inclusive) land

our home.  our Hawaiʻi.  our honua.

When we think of our slogan, this image comes to mind; our home, Hawaiʻi, at the forefront of our honua (world).  We have an infinite amount of aloha (love) for the place we call home.  The ʻŌlelo Noʻeau (Hawaiian Proverb), he aliʻi ka ʻāina, he kauwā ke kanaka; the land is chief, man is its servant; is ingrained within. We as kānaka (people), have the kuleana (responsibility) to continue to make this honua (world) a better wahi (place) for ourselves and future generations; like our kūpuna (ancestors) did, before us.

A deeply held creation tradition holds that; Hāloa was the first kanaka (person).  Hāloaʻs kuaʻana (older brother) was stillborn and where he was buried, the first kalo (taro plant), Hāloanakalaukapalili, grew.  In this sense, our older brothers are both, Hāloanakalaukapalili and Hāloa.  We are intertwined as, keiki o ka ʻāina a poʻe; children of the land and people.  So again, it is our responsibility as people to, e mālama pono i ka ʻāina; take good care of the land.

This is how we view; our home, our Hawaiʻi, our honua.  

Nā mea (things) youʻll find here, are inspired by our home, Hawaiʻi; which really is our honua.  Yet, Hawaiʻi is very diverse; so, weʻre trying to create something for everyone.  Whether youʻre a mauka (inland), māla (garden) or makai (ocean) person, we hope youʻll find something you love. 

Please know that both our ʻāina and lāhui are our foundation.  With the profits, we will give an annual percentage back to a conservation organization as well as community organization.  Mahalo for all of your kākoʻo (support) to help our ʻāina and lāhui not only survive but thrive.
